| May 18: Exhaust. Patrick came Thursday to help me trailer the vette over to Ripley's Muffler shop to have them build the custom 3" exhaust. I had them install an x-pipe just after the cross-member and then DynoMax Ultra Flows in the rear. I then covered the portion that runs by the fiberglass spring with header tape. I'm very pleased with the outcome. It's not perfect but it's still very nice. Of course, we had a few incedents even trying to drive out from the muffler shop. In the parking lot the lower radiator hose came off again. I made a quick trip down the street and got some new correctly sized hose to fix the problem. And then on the way to the house I had a rocker and pushrod die on me. We had it trailered to Joe's house where we fixed the problems the next day. |
