| 555 'Triple Nickel' as we've started calling it. If you're going to go Big Block, why build a puny 454 or 502? Once the internals of the original 454 were determined to be mostly unusable the Temptor (Jim Moore) was involved and started to work on getting vendors to use this opportunity as a showcase for their parts and to put their products where their mouth was. Since Bruiser is going to be featured in a magazine article there were quite a few vendors that stepped up to the plate to offer parts for advertising. But even with the lure of 'free' parts, there was still no compromising. Nothing is going on this motor that the Temptor wouldn't have already wanted to install from the get go. The plan is to have a few control items (block, pistons, heads) and then have a few choices of parts for the dyno testing: cams (solid flat tappet, solid roller, hydraulic roller) , intakes, fuel delivery. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Here is one of the single plane intakes we'll be using. A Wilson Manifolds intake that's been professionally ported. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Bruiser's motor is built although some of the parts (carb, valve covers, fuel pump) are only temporary for a first fire-up. It's been quite a chore getting all of the parts ordered and shipped. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Jesel Shaft rockers for the valve train. If this motor gives up the ghost Patrick and I (Travis) are blaming the VooDoo feather. Jim seems to think the feather brings the opposite luck and Doug doesn't believe in it at all. We shall see..... If the Triple Nickel makes more power than Casper then I think Patrick is going to grind up the feather into a dust and mix it into his new paint for Casper. |

| More of Bruiser's engine parts are ariving and making it on the motor. Here's the latest at this point. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
