On day 2 of our journey to Bowling Green we had just about enough of stopping on the side of the road to work on the Great Pumpkin's fuel/ignition system so I decided to pull the VooDoo Vette off the trailer and let her stretch her legs.  You can see here everybody was oohing and ahhing the new 427.  Little did I know, I too had a fuel system problem.  My problem was vapor locking and as long as I was cruising on the highway with cool clean air circulating through the engine bay everything was fine.  But about 30 miles down the road Bruce's Great Pumpkin started acting up again and we had to stop.  Stopping along side the hot highway was just enough for the VooDoo Vette to go into vapor lock and back on the trailer it went.

The funny thing about this picture is that I was not 'zooming' in on the pack.  Patrick HATES slowing down in the big diesel truck so if the pack slowed down WATCH OUT!

Some of the beautiful countryside just outside of Bowling Green in Kentucky.  But that isn't fog up ahead.  That's the fumes from all the big rigs that use this highway....ugghhhh!!!

This shot was just too good to pass up.  It's my pop, Steve, and Joe cruising in his '61 Sateen Devildog.  Notice both of the plaid shirts.  They really fit the profile in a 60's car, don't they?

Here's a great shot of Nick driving Jim's '67.  I'm not sure if it's because Nick's vette has been on jackstands for so long or just because Jim's vette is so cool but Nick had this same smile on his face many hours after we were done with the coutryside cruise in the hills of Bowling Green.
