This was Joe (silver '61) in the burnout contest.  He won by crowd applause but was disqualified because he wasn't actually spinning the tires.  LOL.  To pull a fast one on us he rigged up a system that injected bleach or something in his exhaust manifold and all he was doing was revving the engine.  None of us had a clue he was doing this and we all had a good laugh.  You gotta watch out for Joe, he's a tricky old fart.

Here's Joe in his Mig helmet.  Not sure if it's NHRA approved but if it's good enough for Russian jet pilots.....well, .....maybe he should get a 'real' helmet.
